Tasting Kits To Go

Enjoy your own personal wine tasting experience from the comforts of your own home. Select varietals you’ve never tried before or choose our newest releases. Our at home wine tasting kits allow you to pick 4 of our award-winning wines that come in 2 ounce bottles with tasting notes.

Wine Tasting Kits may be picked up at the winery tasting room or shipped (additional shipping and handling charges apply). A $4 account credit is applied when tasting kit bottles are returned to the winery. Place your order online by following these steps.

Step 1Select Your Wine

Variety is the spice of life… and wine is no different! Discover something new or reminisce over an old favorite, decide on the 4 wines you’d like included in your tasting kit. Enter the name of each wine in the description/ comments field.

  • Pick your wines
  • Type the names of the wines in the description/ comments box
  • Determine how many kits to order (single kit includes 4, 2oz bottles)
  • Click “ADD TO CART” button

Step 2Checkout

Once you have selected all of your wine choices, scroll to the top of the page. You will see a summary of your Shopping Cart including the total number of items and subtotal. Click on the “Checkout” button next to the subtotal to proceed with your order.

Step 3Login or Create Account

If you are already a Northwest Cellars customer or have purchased wine from us before, log into your account. For new customers please create a new account.

Step 4Checkout

  1. Select the “Pickup at Winery (no charge)” Option under Delivery Method.
  2. To ship the Tasting Kits, check the “Estimated Shipping Rates” and we will contact you with the estimated costs for shipping and handling. For any questions email
  3. Click the “Continue” button to proceed to Payment.

Step 5Confirm Purchase

After you have entered in your payment information…

  1. Review and confirm the names of the 4 wines to include in the kit are indicated in the description field.
  2. If requesting to pick up order on a specific date, select in the “I Need My Order By” field (we will do our best to accommodate this request).
  3. Click the “Place Order” button

Step 6Taste & Enjoy

Now it’s time to pickup your tasting kit and fall in love with your new favorite wine! Tasting kits pair nicely with our virtual Happy Hours and you can also receive a $4 account credit when you return the tasting bottles (which comes in handy when you purchase a bottle of that new favorite wine you discovered)!

82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Petit Verdot, 9% Carménère

Scooteney Flats, Kiona Vineyards

Ruby red with a lush nose of black cherry, cassis, cocoa powder and a few tall dusty weeds.The palate brings on long lean tannins that frame lush deep fruit flavors with more black cherry and black currant. Add some pipe tobacco and earth and you have a classic and classy cab!

CARMÉNÈRE 2015 - Kiona

100% Carménère,

Kiona Vineyard, Red Mountain

Typical of Red Mountain, this wine has deeply concentrated berry aromas and flavors. Blackberry jam, raspberry syrup, a touch of blueberry along with mulling spices on the nose follow on the palate along with a good bit of white pepper and herbal lushness. Beautifully balanced and polished tannins makes this wine easy to drink now or for many years to come.

CARMÉNÈRE 2015 - Phinny Hill

100% Carménère,

Phinny Hill Vineyard, Horse Heaven Hills

Rich aromas of dark ripe berries, blackberry jam, and the flesh of black plums combine with herbal notes of oregano and dried basil to anticipate flavors of plum compote, warm earth, and hints of black licorice and cedar. With a finish of spiced cherries, this is simply a mouthful of unrelenting pleasure. Enjoy.


100% Chardonnay

Yakima Valley

A bright, citrusy chard with aromas of lemon, yellow apple, baked pears and a touch of grapefruit. There’s a creaminess on the palate that balances the acidity. Flavors reflect the nose along with lemon curd, grapefruit zest and lots of minerality on a nice long lemon drop finish.


60% Syrah, 30% Petit Verdot, 10% Merlot

Verhey, Corvus, Otis Vineyards

Intoxicating nose of floral notes mingled with soft black plum, lots of blueberry, chocolate and mint. On the palate intense dark fruit, sweet spice, more chocolate notes, eucalytus, some cherry and, omg, that ancient hard grape candy with the soft center in your coat pocket! Finishes with peppered cinnamon tannins. Do. Not. Wait.


40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 15% Syrah, 7% Malbec, 7% Petit Verdot, 6% Petite Sirah

Coyote Canyon, Corvus, Verhey, Alder Ridge Vineyards

Deep and dark. Aromas of black fruit, stewed plums and whiffs of vanilla and cedar wood. A complex blend, it brings to the palate a soft and balanced mouthful of black cherry, dark plums, some cinnamon with sweet spice, and a touch of cigar box. This is really a soulful wine. Take to the drawing room and reflect.


53% Grenache, 29% Syrah, 18% Cinsault

Walla Walla Valley

Refreshing and light, the new Leggiero rosé makes its debut with aromatics of white rose petals, yellow plum and a streak of minerality. Crisp on the palate, the wine shows off flavors of watermelon, tangerine and kiwi. Finishes long with citrus zest all mixed up with red pie cherry and peach. Just the best on a summer day!


100% Malbec

Verhey Vineyard, Yakima Valley

Juicy, warm and welcoming! Fruit forward on the nose and palate displaying lots of plum and cherry with notes of root beer and a little dusty stuff. Likewise the palate plus some red fruit leading to a delicious black cherry finish. Soft tannins make this such a friendly wine, drink with your besties!


100% Merlot

Coyote Canyon Vineyard, Horse Heaven Hills

With a touch more red fruit then the 2014, this Merlot is also beautifully structured. There’s some initial red licorice followed by warm aromatics of sweet spice, vanilla and dusty black cherry followed by flavors of black fruit, stewed plum, dried savory herbs and a tasty finish of cherry cola. Very balanced, smooth tannins.


50% Malbec, 50% Petite Sirah

Corvus and Verhey Vineyards

This most unusual blend once again delights the senses with enticing aromas of raspberry, sweet cherry, chocolate and whiffs of caramel and dried thyme. This leads to smooth flavors of black cherry, vanilla, some light red fruit, more chocolate, easy tannins, and some clove spiciness in a nice dry finish. Need we say more?


100% Petite Sirah

Corvus Vineyard, Red Mountain

Opens on the nose to deep, rich whiffs of chocolate raspberry sauce dusted with minerality, and hints of floral and blueberry. Tasting reveals a blend of red plum, cherry, vanilla and chocolate. Robust tannins and smooth acidity wound around a core of menthol and raspberry makes this big and delicious. Don’t miss it!

SYRAH 2015

100% Syrah

Verhey Vineyard, Yakima Valley

With deep aromas of black currant, prune and plum and notes of dried herbs, potpourri and vanilla, also reflected on the palate, in this lush very well-balanced wine. True to this varietal, it is savory and rich with its dark intense fruit leading to a persistent finish of subtle peppery spice. Note to self- drink this wine!
